What was needed

They say teamwork makes the dream work. And it certainly takes a team to handle an email marketing programme on the scale of Printerpix’s. High-volume mailing is always a big job, and particularly when catering for a multinational, multilingual audience.

The talented marketing specialists at Printerpix needed a production partner that could keep up with their ambitious email strategy. That’s why Printerpix and The Email Factory teamed up – just in time for the retail rush of Black Friday!

What was done

Agency sounds so detached. At The Email Factory, we prefer to operate as an extension of our clients’ teams. Our developers studied and documented Printerpix’s processes, joined their Microsoft Teams channel and hit the ground running. We lifted the weight of multi-version email production and scheduling.

But we’re not just an assembly line. Efficient production is important, but our bigger goal is to upgrade our clients’ email marketing. Step one was an improved email framework. We swear by hand-coding, and redeveloped the Printerpix template from the ground up. Goodbye WYSIWYG limitations, hello full creative freedom.

As multi-client email marketing specialists, we work with a wide range of ESPs and CRM systems. Salesforce, Responsys, Klaviyo, Listrak, Emarsys, Mailchimp – you name it, we’ve probably done it. We believe in using software to its full potential. Harnessing the scripting language of Printerpix’s chosen email platform opened up more complex possibilities for dynamic content.

What was the result

Breathing space. Freed from the pressure of daily email production, Printerpix had the chance to concentrate on better content and exciting new projects.

Printerpix’s creative team took the opportunity to transform the design for their basket and project abandonment emails. The Email Factory devs took this fresh new look and turned it into a reality. Business-critical emails recoded, re-tested and revamped.

It’s the little things too. Dynamic banners add an extra layer of personalisation to the day-to-day mailings, neatly handled with code rather than clunky drag & drop rules.

Remember when we said that we like to work as if part of your team? We meant that. Regular catch-ups with Printerpix let us bounce ideas off each other and discuss all thing email marketing.

A good teammate always has your back. We stick around until the work is done, even if that means some late evenings and the occasional weekend. An out-of-hours safety net is a nice bonus in the unpredictable world of email marketing.

But let’s get down to numbers. During the first quarter working together, we helped Printerpix to ramp up email volume by 25%. And the bottom line? A festive-friendly 22% increase in revenue.

We teamed up with Email Factory during Q4, the peak season for gift-giving. Their talented team of email developers provided excellent support in revamping our templates and effectively managed the increase in email volume.

What truly stood out was not only their email coding skills, but also their ability to adjust to changing priorities and last-minute email sends. They went above and beyond our expectations!
